Community Mend Station

with No Comments

A beautiful organisation called The Reinvented Project hosts markets where everything sold is either upcycled or vintage. What a perfect idea!

I was honoured to be asked to host the Mend Station at their most recent market. In the words of the host Beccy Beavis ‘the idea surrounding the mending station is to encourage care, repair and re-ware of clothing. By bringing a koha based mending station to the community level at our markets supports our philosophy & makes mending more affordable and accessible. It also means we can offer ideas/services on how people can creatively “Upcycle” or mend their clothing

I thought the best way to take you with me was to record some of the action – and here it is!
